My hair is pretty healthy, yea! :D
And definitely, I wouldn’t dare attempt to do it on my own, I wouldn’t know what to do. This is nine years worth of growing out my hair, and while I’m ready for a change, I don’t wanna trash it.
How long would it last..? I don’t know how this works at all, like, don’t your roots start to grow dark? (I mean I honestly don’t care how long it lasts, I’m just curious. ^.^)
@audikatia said: If you can avoid it, don’t bleach your hair.
@katieandkirby said: putting hair into a wig isn’t that hard! Try doing a bunch of tiny french braids, then you have something to pin the wig to anyways. If you like your hair long, you’ll probably regret bleaching it, it really can ruin your hair!
This is how long my hair is! I’ve tried putting it in a cheap Party City wig before, with no success. I had two thick braids though. Maybe eight or ten braids would be more successful. :D (And plus, Ruffnut wears a helmet, that kinda gives me some breathing room to play around with.)
I was honestly ready to cut it, but I thought maybe attempting blonde could be cool. If successful, all these cosplay opportunities open up.. xD
I wonder if it’s possible to get my hair blonde. It’s a lot of hair (so a lot of bleach) and it’s fairly dark, but cosplaying Ruffnut would be easier if I didn’t have to stuff all that in a wig. *A*
don’t date anyone who doesn’t think hawkeye is a valuable member of the avengers
I love when the art changes in fables and gives us new interpretations of the characters, but my favorite incarnation of bigby I’ve seen thus far probably has to be this one
look at that bastard. his face is literally just a pair of bushy brows and a beard and it’s wonderful
I finished episode 3 of The Wolf Among Us yesterday and I’ve been in a constant state of EMOTIONS since then
I can’t even tell you guys how much I love the comic book and how much MORE I love the video game
Also I want these two to smooch. Smooch in game, do it. Forget canon. I don’t care. Smooch now. Make it happen Telltale
dear fucking tumblr
this is a fucking bumblebee
this is a fucking bee
this is a fucking hornet
this is a fucking wasp
as you can fucking see the longer their legs are and the less fuzzy they are is equivalent to how fucking evil they fucking are
I feel like I just watched a step by step pokemon evolution
Omg what sort of fricked up wasp is that?! In Britain our wasps look like the hornet and our hornets are just larger
That last one is actually a Mud Dauber, rarely aggressive and they don’t often sting. They’re pretty crazy in the fact that their diet consists of spiders which, depending on your pov, can be a pro or con. In fact, blue mud daubers primarily eat Black Widows, so there’s that.
Depending on where you live, that “hornet” listed could also be called a Yellow Jacket or informally dubbed a wasp instead. These dudes are highly aggressive and nasty as hell, while being absolutely useless.
Where I come from, we got a lot of rude and red paper wasps like these:
tl:dr, that last little fella with the long legs is actually a shy little guy who noms on spiders, threat level: minimum.
Burners Typing Font!
Ripped straight from the Motorcity flash games on Disney XD’s site!
Special thanks to the anons over at 4chan’s /co/ board for making this!
The link is down, for some reason. Can somebody re-upload it?
yo! Anyone still have a copy of this font & if so, mind sharing..? :)
I remember posting somewhere once in a thread about why girls aren’t exploited in animation anymore where some guy said, “all the disney girls are drawn to be generally attractive, but I don’t think there are any eye-candy men… or are there? Are there any Disney men that lots of girls like?” and I mentioned Roger. Tons of girls replied agreeing with me and the original guy was like “wait, Roger? from 101 Dalmatians? What’s attractive about him, he’s tall and lanky and has a big nose, he isn’t muscley at all! Wouldn’t you all prefer Gaston or something? Or do you girls think his big nose is indicative of something else?” and I was like “no, you idiot, he’s a silly, goofy guy who likes animals and can play a bunch of instruments, that’s why he’s attractive. What’s the matter with you? Gaston, seriously?”
This is why we need more girls in animation. And more guys like Roger apparently.
This is why I laugh my ass of whenever dudes talk about how men are “objectified” by the media too. Because 9 times out of 10, what men think is “women objectifying men” are characters like Gaston.
And Gaston is NOT a woman-driven fantasy. Gaston is a male wish fulfillment fantasy. Gaston is not what women want, he is what men want to be. He is hyper-masculinity to an extreme degree, dripping with sexism and testosterone. The fact that men think that Gaston is what women want says an awful lot about those men.
While I don’t want to generalize, female fans tend to prefer a very different kind of male hero. We like the Rogers, the Milos, the Hercules. Genuinely kind, often awkward men who are sometimes vulnerable and respectful to women.
Yes, this is a generalization. I own up to that. But I think it’s important to remember that there is often VERY big difference between what MEN want to be and what women WANT in our media.
Reblogging this again because fucking this. And hell, even the muscley dudes (see: Khal Drogo, Hercules, Thor, Captain America) are loved, not because they are muscley, but because they are sweet and loving and adorable. We love Thor because his mispronounces “Hubble” as “Hooble,” not because of what he can do with a hammer.
Reblogging for the awesome comments.
Grayson Issue 1 Cover
Batman insists that Dick keeps the fact that he’s alive from everyone, including the likes of Alfred Pennyworth and Batgirl in order to protect them and himself now that his secret identity has been revealed to the world. As a result, Nightwing will be leaving Gotham City and will become an employee of Spyral.
I am not down with this design for Dick, a buzz cut and a scowl? I get that he’s trying to hide his identity, but if this lasts longer than a 6 issue arc, I can see this getting real old, real fast.
Ugh this does not please me how upsetting
Whoa when did Taylor Lautner get a comic.
GREY OMFG CAN”T UNSEE.
He’s such a sweetie. ;A;
“You get in any trouble out there, find yourself in a jam, you don’t hesitate to call us. ‘Cause we will hightail it out there and—”
“'Save me.' I know, Hal. You already have.”
The first and last scenes of Green Lantern: The Animated Series.
Two years ago today, I created greenlantern-tas. I had just gotten caught up in the first few episodes of an amazing story. I was looking around Tumblr, trying to find a community blog to watch for screenshots, gifs, news, discussion, etc and I was surprised that the wasn’t one. The live action movie’s poor reception and Tumblr’s DC Comics fandom (at least in the circles I ran in) hadn’t left a lot of room for anyone being willing to give a show about Hal Jordan a chance. The attitudes of 2D versus 3D animation weren’t helping matters either. Goodness were we ever so wrong. I’d fallen in love with the show, wanted to find more fans and promote the show to the circles of animation and superhero fans I was a part of. That was why I started the blog. Two years later — I’ve met some amazing people, including a few from the GLTAS crew; made some incredible friends; had a lot of wonderful discussions; laughed, cried, ranted, and found hope and inspiration in this epic tale; and seen and been a part of making some amazing fanwork. I’ve also learned a lot about the animation industry and how much it can break your heart when a show doesn’t get renewed. However, the fandom — THE FANTERNS — continue on. Because a fandom doesn’t end with the show, and the themes and messages are no less poignant and inspiring a year after the show ended, and I believe they’ll continue to be so a decade and more from now.
Being a part of the Fanterns has been and will continue to be amazing. Thank you all for that.
Now, with the self-indulgence out of the way. I’ve been running this thing for two years, and you guys have dealt with me well. I think that merits an anniversary giveaway. There will be 5 prizes. 4 of which are print issues of the GLTAS comics, #1, #4, #7, and #10 (my duplicates). The fifth prize will be a handmade mini Kilowog plush, pictured below.
In order to enter: You must be a US resident (or have a US address I can mail the prize to) and you must be 18 or older (legalese reasons). One entry per person. To enter, please send an ask telling us how you got into GLTAS. The winner will be chosen at random. Deadline for entries: May 11, 2014 at midnight PST.
Please reblog (feel free to cut out my excess commentary) to help advertise the giveaway.
But there is none.
No Fanart, Fanfiction, graphics, vids nothing.
That is what I get for going crazy over Aya/Razer from GLTAS, which only has 5 episodes.
…what’re we going to call this ship anyway? I like Razaya. :’3
pfft back to bed noww
This is the oldest post I have regarding GLTAS.
I dunno what is worse, the frustration of having no fanworks for your OTP, or the frustration of having fanworks of a half-dead OTP.
